The Ultimate Chex Quest
One of the most prominent fans of Chex Quest is "Boingo the Clown". In 2003 he was inspired to give Chex Quest an updated look using some special effects now available for this style of game, while still retaining all of the original game elements. The project is still in the works, but you can download the latest beta version: Phase2 Beta3.

I have several versions of the original Chex Quest, but my kids and I play Boingo's "The Ultimate Chex Quest". It's the version I recommend because the extra special effects and graphics add to the overall experience.
Note: You will need to be able to run "The Ultimate Chex Quest" in order to play my own episode of "Chex Quest Deep-Sea Adventure" since it uses graphics and elements from T.U.C.Q. I did this for two reasons, #1 I like them, and #2 I'm hoping that supporting his work will help encourage him to complete it!
